The Bullseye 380X utilizes a one-of-a-kind Afterburner Fire Pot . This particular design inhibits the use of hands or shop-vacs in the cleaning process. The solution for this is recteq’s first ever ash-dump.
Keeping the Fire Pot free of excess ash is vital for maximum performance. We recommend deploying the ash dump between every cook.
A good rule of thumb is to empty the Fire Pot BEFORE each cook. This will help ensure plenty of time has passed since the grill was last used.
PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN USING THE ASH DUMP! DUMPING A LIVE FIRE, OR EVEN SMOLDERING PELLETS INTO THE ASH TRAY, CAN CAUSE SERIOUS COSMETIC DAMAGE TO THE GRILL! DO NOT empty the ash dump until fully cooled. Depending on several variables, it is completely normal for the grill to continue smoking after powering off the appliance. DO NOT deploy ash dump in an attempt to stop the grill from smoking!
