1. Unplug the grill
  2. Gain access to back of the air box
  3. Unplug the molex connector for the igniter, the wires will be white braided and/or red and white braided.
  4. Remove the 4 bolts that are anchoring down the firepot with a #10 socket.
  5. Wiggle / rotate firepot out and set to the side.
  6. With a 2 ½ mm allen wrench, remove set screw holding in old igniter.
  7. Cut wires directly behind the igniter.
  8. Tape the ends of the new igniter wires to the old igniter wires.
  9. Slowly and gently pull old wires out the rear of the airbox. This will pull the new igniter wires through for you.
  10. Remove the tape that was used to attach the old wires to the new wires. Install the Molex that was sent with the new igniter to the end of the wires and connect it.
  11. Set new igniter into the firepot and tighten set screws. (The new igniter should sit flush with the end of the igniter tube in the firepot.
  12. Re-set the fire pot, and secure with the 4 anchoring screws.
  13. Pull igniter wires tight from the back of the airbox.
  14. Make sure no wires are hanging or obstructing any moving mechanical parts. (Especially fan blades)
  15. Replace the access panel.
