1. Press and hold down the settings button until the screen lights up. Once the menu pops up, let go of the settings button.
  2. Press the power button once. The display screen should show all eights.
  3. Press the power button a second time. The software version of your controller should be displayed.
  4. Press the power button a third time. The screen will now read 5-1 AUG, and the auger will begin turning. Auger motors turn very slowly and may appear to not function at first glance. DO NOT PUT FINGERS ON OR NEAR AUGER BLADE TO TEST FUNCTIONALITY.
  5. Press the power button to move to 5-2 IGN. The auger will stop turning and the igniter will activate. Ignitors should take 90 seconds to start glowing. DO NOT TOUCH THE IGNITER TO TEST FUNCTIONALITY.
  6. Press the power button to move to 5-3 FAN. The igniter will deactivate, and the blower fan will begin to function.
  7. Press the power button to move to 5-4 NOB. The blower fan will turn off. Turn the knob to the right to increase the amount on the screen. Turn to the left to decrease. This step ensures that the nob is working correctly.
  8. Press the power button to move to 5-5 and note the temperature on the screen. If the temperature on the screen is within 5 degrees of the ambient temperature, the RTD probe is reading accurately.
  9. Press the power button to move to 5-6 UFI. Plug the meat probes into the ports to test their accuracy. Press power to move from Probe A to Probe B. If either probe reading is off, they can be calibrated within the settings menu.
  10. Press power once more, and the screen will read BYE.
  11. While the screen is on BYE, press and hold down the settings button to exit Test Mode.
